First light on a West Texas ranch.
A ranch hand, hands still soiled from oiling their saddle the night before, sleeps aside a campfire with juniper as its kindling. They are awakened by gentle raindrops on the face. As it begins to sprinkle, the smell of sweet creosote blends with the smoldering fire and they takes in a huge breath before letting out a primal howl of rugged individualism.
